Trauma-Informed Spiritual Direction

Trauma-Informed Spiritual Direction

Accompany others with wisdom, compassion, and grounded presence.

Join us for a half-day continuing education workshop led by Alison Hendley exploring trauma-informed spiritual direction. Together, we will reflect on how spiritual directors can offer safe, compassionate, and discerning presence to those who have experienced trauma.

This workshop will support participants in developing practical skills for accompaniment, including self-care and the establishment of healthy emotional, spiritual, and relational boundaries. Attention will be given to how directors can journey with those who are struggling while honouring both the directee’s story and the director’s own wellbeing.

Participants will also reflect on sustainable practices of listening, discernment, and pastoral presence that support wise and faithful spiritual companionship.
