Addiction, Recovery, and Spiritual Direction

Addiction, Recovery, and Spiritual Direction

Companion others with discernment, compassion, and hope for growing freedom in God.

Join us for a half-day continuing education workshop led by Bob Stiles exploring addiction and recovery within the practice of spiritual direction. Together, we will reflect on how spiritual directors can accompany those navigating patterns of struggle, healing, and transformation with wisdom and compassion.

Addiction and recovery are deeply spiritual realities, shaped by identity, desire, and the longing for freedom. This workshop will consider the interplay of the true self, false self, and encultured self, and how these dimensions can influence the spiritual journey.

Participants will be invited to engage a practical and reflective framework for spiritual accompaniment, with attention to integration, healing, and the work of God in the process of recovery.
