Discernment in Everyday Life

Discernment in Everyday Life

Learn to listen for God’s presence and invitation in the choices and complexities of daily life.

Join us for a half-day continuing education workshop led by Evan Howard exploring the foundations and practice of Christian discernment. Together, we will reflect on how God’s presence, invitation, and renewing work can be recognized within the ordinary decisions and deeper questions of life.

This workshop will invite participants to consider their own discernment situations and styles while engaging themes such as listening, freedom, wisdom, obedience, and sensitivity to God’s activity. Participants will be encouraged to notice how discernment is shaped through prayer, attentiveness, and openness to the Spirit’s guidance.

Through teaching, prayer, and small group discussion, this gathering will cultivate practices that support faithful, attentive, and discerning participation in the life of God.
