Sandra Broadus, D.Min.

Position: Founder & Executive Director Emeritus

Helping Christians grow in Christ was a long-felt calling for Sandy, even as she graduated from the University of Toronto, hoping to launch a counseling practice. She was led by the Spirit to Tyndale Seminary in 1998 to begin an M.Div. in Counseling, graduating with a Diploma in Spiritual Direction as well in 2003. After seven years of teaching spiritual formation and spiritual direction at Tyndale, she went on to earn a D.Min. in Leadership and Spiritual Formation from George Fox Seminary in Oregon.

With much prayer and discernment alongside trusted leaders, Sandy sensed God’s clear invitation to collaborate in the work that became Emmaus Formation Centre. As she led Emmaus, she was continually challenged to ensure that all ministry was offered with grace and excellence. She was deeply blessed to witness not only lives transformed and deepened in Christ, but also the growing movement of spiritual direction within the church.
